When I went out to start my truck this morning I was slapped in the face with some really cold wind and wondered to myself if the last couple of months were a dream and it was really still only January! While I’m ready for some warmer weather, the cooler temperatures are keeping the snow on the Mush For a Cure trail. We are down to nine days before the big event so I will take the cold. After the 15th, Mother Nature can bring on spring!

As I mentioned yesterday, we are at the mercy of the participants in the Ottertrack Lake Boundary Waters Adventure for photos. Thankfully Julie ran a team in on Monday with Mark and Mike to get the crew out and she e-mailed some photos yesterday. You can’t see all the gear packed in the sleds, but in the first two photos you can kind of get an idea of the weight the dogs had to pull. The first team is Mark is on the first sled with Mike Prom behind him on the drag sled. The second team is Mike Dvorak with another Mark and Kyle on the drag sled. What you also can’t see is that on the drag sleds there is another guy sitting on it! The last photo is of the other Mark, Mike Dvorak and Gus, the one writing the article. I’m hoping that Sue won’t tease everyone for too long on her blog and continue the Survivor story today.

I guess it’s time to start thinking about getting ready for work. Bundle up today. Looking at the extended forecast, it appears that we have to get through the next couple days of cold and by the end of the weekend we are slated for some warmer weather.
