Pink Colored Glasses
I mentioned last week that my mind has turned to mush…Mush For a Cure that is and now I think I’m looking at the world through pink colored glasses. On Monday afternoon we drove down to Duluth and stayed overnight with good friends Kevin and Maryellen (thanks guys) with Takum in to. Mr. Takum had an appointment at Grand Avenue Vet early yesterday morning for a little surgery where the vet “tookum off” Takum (get the drift?).
While Takum was being taken care of by the staff at Grand Avenue, Mark and I ran around Duluth looking for Mush For a Cure supplies. From Menards for charcoal and pink spray paint, dogbooties.com for a prize donation, both Goodwill stores for pink accessories for our outfits, Wal-Mart for fabric for the flags for Mark’s snowmobile, to the Salvation Army for more accessories for our outfits to Bear Shoe Works to pick up another prize donation from Bob Wright and back to Grand Avenue to pick up our little boy. Whew!
The back of our truck was full of pink! As Mark said in his Facebook post last night, the Gunflint Trail is going to look like someone poured Pepto Bismal all over it. It’s already happened in my world so it seems everywhere I look I’m seeing pink!
Daylight Watch: Tomorrow will be 3 minutes and 26 seconds longer than today!!!
