I Don’t Care Who You Are, This Is Cool!

Since I’m the road once again, I’m going to make today’s entry short and sweet. I wish I could figure out how to imbed this video into the blog, but I don’t have the time to try to figure it out. Trust me, it’s pretty cool though.

Cool Monday and Week?

Well at least it didn’t rain, at least not after the sun came up. But it was a bit chilly out there for the end of June. When I got home from work instead of the norm lately of tank top and shorts for doing chores, it was Carhartt pants, t-shirt AND sweatshirt. It was cool enough and Mark got home early enough that he was able to take one team of 5 dogs out for a free run. It was supposed to be 6 (including Takum), but Calvin decided that sniffing Olive was more important than going for a 4-mile all-out run and swim through the beaver pond. Oh wait…Olive was just his excuse! That’s right, Calvin doesn’t like getting his feet wet and he KNEW what was in store for him. Who says dogs aren’t smarter than we are!

New “Pun” Truck

Last Thursday as I was driving through Hermantown on my way to an overnight stay in Cloquet, there was what looked like a great rummage sale. Me, being a trash-to-treasure kinda gal, of course just HAD to stop and spent all of $1.50 on a rusty Tonka truck. As mentioned, I love turning trash into treasure and knew exactly what I was going to do with the toy…and where it was going to go. Does anyone get the pun? :-)

Off The Beaten Path Bouquet

Wow, we made it through a day in June without any rain! That’s been a rarity this month. We took advantage of the great weather yesterday with Mark  mowing the jungle that is a yard (notice I did not call it a lawn or grass?) and I weeding and brushing, Takum and Ophir chipmunk chasing, Roxy catching some Vitamin D sunning herself and old Willie, well he was trying to “catch” Cassie. Cassie should be in a pen, but with  Elbrus in one and Zena in the other, they are full. And no, Zena did not have her puppies under the full moon.

While I was walking around the yard, I thought the blooming flowers in my gardens and the blooming wildflowers around the yard I thought it would be cool to put them together and make a bouquet. While I’m not much of a flower arranger (is that a word?), here is my Off The Beaten Path Bouquet.

Today isn’t looking so good weather-wise. Looking at the radar there is a big colorful band of “stuff” heading this way. If the forecasters are right, after today we should have a nice week…just in time to go back to work. Oh well, unless we win the lottery we have to work so we can do all the things we love to do. Have a great Sunday all and if you can, get out and pick your own Off The Beaten Path bouquet!

Happy Weekend

The weekend is here and the sun is shining…what’s up with THAT? I’m not complaining and I’m not going to sit inside for long either. Looks like we might be turning the corner for less soggy weather. Tomorrow there’s a pretty good chance but after that…looking good! (If you can believe the weather people that is). Here’s the extended forecast from Wunderground. Happy Weekend Everyone!!! :-)
